Two converted vans in Asturias, both manual with a diesel engine of 120 hp: Renault Master (2.5 dCi; 3 seats for travelling and 2 beds, 3 if travelling with a child; 1.20 x 1.80 m bed; interior shower with diesel hot water, chemical or dry toilet, fridge, TV, solar panels and reversing camera) and Volkswagen Transporter T4 (1.9 TDI; same seats and bed; solar outdoor shower, dry toilet, gas stove, kitchenware and fridge). They publish the same measurements for both (5.39 m long, 1.99 m wide and 2.70 m high), which looks doubtful for a T4. The number of units of each model and the year are not published; the booking form lists one vehicle per model. The website also lists two Peugeot Partner minicampers under Tenerife, which are not included here.

Mammut Vans is a small independent company from Asturias, based in Villaviciosa (Arroes), run by Ainhoa and Edu, who started with their own Volkswagen T4. It rents two converted vans on the Asturian coast, a Renault Master and a Volkswagen Transporter T4, both for 2 people (3 if one is a child) with 3 seats for travelling. Everything is included in the price (bed linen, towels, kitchenware, gas, dry toilet and welcome pack) and they are pet friendly. Pick-up is at the base, at Asturias airport (€50) or at the Gijón stations, also on weekends.

Vanyou's advice

Mammut Vans is a small independent company with two converted vans in Asturias, a Renault Master and a Volkswagen T4, that stands out for its airport delivery (€50), its Gijón stations and free parking at its base. Before booking, confirm how many units there are of each model and whether the T4 is available (the home page shows it as from August), whether the base is in Villaviciosa or Gijón, the mileage included and the cost of any excess, whether prices include VAT, and the deposit and cancellation conditions. The website also lists two Peugeot Partner minicampers under Tenerife with a €70/day rate; they are not included in this page because their location is contradictory, and they would lower the starting price if they were in Asturias.
