Why rent a campervan in Seville?
Seville is a great starting point for a campervan trip around western Andalusia: an international airport, the Atlantic coast of Huelva and Cádiz within about two hours, the Sierra de Aracena and Doñana a little over an hour away, and white villages inland. You pick up the camper in the city and within an hour you can be on a beach, in the mountains or in a natural park.
- Doñana and the Huelva coast at 1-1.5 hours: Matalascañas, El Rocío and the beaches of Huelva, next to one of Spain's most important wetlands.
- Costa de la Luz (Cádiz) at 1.5-2 hours: Cádiz, Conil, Vejer, Zahara de los Atunes and Tarifa, with long beaches and wind for kitesurfing.
- Sierra de Aracena at 1-1.5 hours: cork oak and holm oak dehesa, cured ham villages and cooler air in summer.
- White villages and Ronda at 2 hours: a classic inland route through Grazalema, Zahara de la Sierra and Ronda.
Recommended campervan routes from Seville
Doñana and the Huelva coast (3-4 days)
Go down to El Rocío and Matalascañas and continue along the Huelva coast towards Mazagón and Punta Umbría. Beaches, pine forests and birdlife. Free camping is not allowed in protected areas such as Doñana, so use motorhome areas or campsites.
Costa de la Luz and Cádiz (4-5 days)
Head to Jerez and Cádiz and follow the coast to Conil, Vejer, Zahara de los Atunes and Tarifa. It is the busiest route in July and August: book your overnight stops in advance.
Sierra de Aracena (2-3 days)
A short route north through Aracena, Alájar and Linares de la Sierra, with forests, caves and ham villages. Good in spring and autumn, when the south of Spain is hot.
White villages and Ronda (4-5 days)
Cross the Sierra de Grazalema through Arcos de la Frontera, Grazalema and Zahara de la Sierra to Ronda. Winding roads: take it easy with a large motorhome.

Frequently asked questions
Can I pick up the camper at Seville airport?
Some companies deliver to Seville airport or to an address in the city, usually with a supplement; others are based near the airport or in the surrounding towns. Check the cost and the pick-up point when booking.
Is it too hot to travel in summer?
July and August are very hot in Seville, with frequent temperatures above 40 °C. Spring and autumn are the best times for the inland routes; in summer, head for the coast or the Sierra de Aracena and look for air conditioning.
Can I sleep overnight in a camper?
There are motorhome areas and campsites in Seville province and along the coast. Free overnight parking is regulated and not allowed in protected areas such as Doñana. Check the local rules wherever you plan to stop.
What driving licence do I need to rent a camper?
A category B licence is enough. Most companies ask for 2 years of driving experience and a minimum age of 25; check the exact requirement before booking.
Can I travel with my pet?
Many companies accept pets, some with a supplement or prior consent and a cleaning charge. Confirm it when booking.
Can I travel to Portugal?
The Algarve is about 2.5 hours from Seville. Many companies allow travel to Portugal with prior notice, but not all of them. Always ask before you go.
