Activans Costa Brava is a family business founded by Nora and Ronan, former windsurf instructors who ran a windsurf and kitesurf club in the Bay of Roses from 2004 and started renting campers in 2019. Based in Viladamat (Alt Empordà, Girona), it rents four camper vans for 2 to 4 people (Surf Explorer, Nomade Nation Neo, Pössl Roadcruiser Evolution and Adria Twin 640 SGX), all designed to carry boards and bikes, and also rents Fanatic and Duotone windsurf, kitesurf and SUP equipment and bicycles.

Rental terms
- Minimum age and licence: the renter and every driver must be over 25 years old and hold a European class B licence for at least 2 years (a non-European licence needs an international permit). Documents at pick-up: ID or passport, a recent utility bill or registration certificate, and a credit card in the renter’s name; photocopies are not accepted.
- Minimum stay: 3 nights in low season, 7 in mid season and 10 in high season (see the economic conditions). Active season: the 2026 calendar runs from 14 February to 20 November; the website says it is closed in winter (until 28 February 2027 on one page, and “from 20 November 2027” in the general conditions: confirm).
- Mileage: 200 km per day (up to 14 days); extra kilometres €0.30; unlimited with Easy Riding insurance.
- Travel area: the FAQ allows the European Union, Great Britain and Switzerland; the general conditions say only within European borders, with no insurance outside them. Winter trips to snowy mountain areas are not allowed.
- Pets: one dog of up to 20 kg is allowed (surcharge: see the economic conditions); no other animals. Bring its bed and bowl; the Pössl and the Adria have room under the bed for the transport box. Smoking is forbidden in every van.
- Passengers and drivers: only the drivers named in the contract may drive; the Surf Explorer has seats for 2 only and the Neo for 3. The van must not exceed 3.5 t and the renter must respect height and width limits (their conditions cite 2.70 m and 2.35 m).
- Forbidden uses: beaches, flooded or unpaved roads, races, towing, paid passenger transport, sub-letting, driving outside Europe and carrying goods. Never leave the awning extended and unattended overnight.
- Included: bed linen, towels (shower and beach), organic soap and shampoo, kitchenware, outdoor table and chairs, wheel chocks, awning where fitted, bike rack, tourist guides and 24-hour assistance (see equipment). Dog box and child seats are extras.
- Return: with a full fuel tank, empty grey water and toilet tanks, and the van clean inside and out; otherwise the charges in the economic conditions apply. Damage and the final check are recorded in a delivery and return report.
- Breakdown or accident: report it at once to Activans (assistance phone +34 647 943 434, 08:00-18:00) and to the police; repairs only with their written consent in an authorised workshop. The renter is liable for the excess and fully liable for damage from misuse.
