Autocaravanes Empordà is an independent company based in Viladamat, in the Empordà area between Girona and Figueres, that says it has been renting motorhomes and campers for more than 10 years (its website carries a 2015 copyright). Its fleet of 9 vehicles is made of eight low-profile motorhomes (Sunlight, Carado and Dethleffs, 6.65 to 7.40 m, for 4 or 5 people) and the Carado C601 camper van, in two units. The same published daily rates apply to the whole fleet, from €110 a day, with 400 km a day included. It does not publish the insurance details, a minimum age or airport delivery.

Autocaravanes Empordà is an independent company from Viladamat that publishes real daily rates for its whole fleet (from €110 to €180 a day depending on the season) in the price tab of each vehicle, which is easy to miss because the model list only says “from €115”. It rents mostly low-profile motorhomes of 6.65 to 7.40 m, plus a camper, so it is not a van-camper rental in the strict sense. Before booking, confirm the type of insurance and the excess, the minimum age, the pet policy, the minimum stay (3 days in the conditions, 2 to 6 in the booking engine), what is included in the price (kitchenware, bed linen, gas) and whether they can deliver at the airport. The photos are taken from the company’s website (maximum 800 px wide).

  • Same rates for the whole fleet: the pages of all nine vehicles show exactly the same table. Prices are per day, indicative and not contractual; VAT is not stated (confirm).
  • Minimum stay: the column comes from the rules of their booking engine; their general conditions say a minimum of 3 days, so confirm.
  • Rates for April to October 2027 are listed without an amount on their website, so the 2026 rates are the best reference. The model list shows “from €115”, which matches the current period (13 Oct–3 Dec); the lowest published rate is €110.
  • Rentals of more than 15 days: special prices on request (no figures published).

Economic

  • Prices: published per day and for the whole fleet (see the rates table). They are indicative and not contractual, and the company may change them without notice. VAT is not stated; confirm.
  • Deposit to book: 30% of the rental price once they confirm availability, paid by bank transfer (transfer costs are paid by the customer). The booking is valid once they confirm they have received it.
  • Payment: the rest of the rental and the damage deposit are paid before the keys are handed over, in cash or by Visa at delivery; they also accept the full amount in advance by transfer. No online payment is available.
  • Deposit: between €750 and €1,000 depending on the vehicle, paid in cash or by Visa as a temporary hold (pre-authorisation) at pick-up, and returned once the vehicle and its inventory are checked at the meeting point in the same condition and reasonably clean. Any damage is charged against it after informing the customer in detail.
  • Insurance: their terms have an insurance section but do not say what is covered or the excess: not published; confirm.
  • Mileage: 400 km per day included; each extra km costs €0.25. Unlimited mileage on request or for rentals of 7 days or more.
  • Extras: their booking engine lists bed linen (sheet kit) and a bike rack as options, and a charge described as kitchen equipment + outdoor table and chairs + chemical toilet + gas + mattress protector + cleaning kit. The prices and whether that charge is compulsory are not published; confirm.
  • Cancellation: with less than 30 days’ notice the company may keep the deposit; if you stop the rental early there is no refund. If the company cannot deliver for reasons beyond its control (breakdown, accident) it refunds 100% and gives a 3-day rental for the inconvenience.
  • Long rentals: they invite you to ask for special prices for rentals of more than 15 days (“free days”, no figures published).

Rental terms

  • Minimum age and licence: not published. The pages say “licence: B1” (in Spain B1 is the quadricycle licence, so they probably mean B); confirm the minimum age, the years of licence and the rules for non-EU licences.
  • Minimum rental: 3 days according to their general conditions; their booking engine applies minimums of 2, 3 or 6 days depending on the season (see the rates table): confirm.
  • Capacity: 4 people in the camper and in six of the motorhomes, 5 people in the Sunlight T68 and the Dethleffs T6812 EB. The pages give one capacity figure and do not separate seats from beds.
  • Mileage: 400 km per day included; €0.25 per extra km. Unlimited mileage on request or for rentals of 7 days or more.
  • Travel abroad: trips outside the EU only on request; the website does not say anything about travelling to other countries inside the EU (Portugal, France, etc.): confirm.
  • Pets: on request (no supplement or rules published): confirm. Smoking is not allowed in any vehicle.
  • Cancellation: with less than 30 days’ notice the company may keep the 30% deposit. If you interrupt the rental there is no refund. If the company cannot deliver for reasons beyond its control (breakdown, accident) it refunds 100% and gives a 3-day rental.

What's included

Fridge with freezer according to their equipment list, and a gas hob with a sink in the photos of the T66S and the C601 camper. The cooking equipment is not detailed on the vehicle pages, but their booking engine lists a charge for kitchen equipment, outdoor table and chairs, chemical toilet, gas, mattress protector and cleaning kit (price not published): confirm what is included.
The vehicle pages give a capacity (4 people, or 5 in the T68 and the T6812 EB) without separating seats and beds. Their descriptions say that the V337, T66S, T328 and T338 have comfortable longitudinal single beds at the rear (the T338 also has a drop-down bed so that families travel as comfortably as couples), that the V66 combines camper-style layout with a more comfortable bed combination, and that the T68 and the T6812 EB suit families of up to 5. Their photos show a drop-down bed over the cab in the T6812 and the T66S. The C601 camper is described as ideal for couples or small families. Bed sizes are not published, and bed linen is an option of their booking engine (price not published).
Every model is listed with one bathroom (“toilet: 1”) and the pages list a WC. The photos show a compact bathroom with a toilet, washbasin and a shower in the T66S and the T6812 and a toilet in the C601 camper. The size of the water tanks and whether the toilet is a cassette type are not published.
Solar panel on every vehicle according to their equipment list (battery capacity not published) and the DuoControl gas system, which connects two cylinders and switches automatically to the second one when the first runs out, shows which one is in use and cuts the gas in a collision. A 2022 review says the mains cable and gas cylinders were included, but the website does not detail it: confirm.
Awning according to their equipment list (the same list appears on all pages, so confirm it applies to the camper) and outdoor table and chairs as part of the charge their booking engine describes. A bike rack is offered as an option without a published price. The photos show a rear storage compartment in several of the motorhomes.
According to the equipment list shown on the page of every vehicle (the same list appears on all nine pages, including the camper, so confirm what applies to your model): air conditioning, static heating, fan, Android / CarPlay multimedia, cruise control, power steering, all-season tyres, swivelling driver and passenger seats and security locks. Manual gearbox and diesel engine in all of them.
The website does not describe the insurance type, the excess or roadside assistance (their terms have a section on insurance that only covers mileage and travel). Customer reviews mention a detailed explanation at pick-up, help videos for first-time users and owners who are easy to reach, but those are opinions, not published conditions. The vehicles are delivered in perfect mechanical condition with all technical certificates, and all of them have the DuoControl gas safety system (it cuts off the gas in a collision).

Reviews on their website mention a flexible timetable and a detailed explanation, with help videos for first-time users, but only the three time slots are published as a rule. They do not say anything about delivery to other places.
Airport delivery

Not published. Their website does not mention delivery at Girona-Costa Brava airport (GRO) or any price for it. A 2022 customer review on their site says they delivered the vehicle a day early and looked after the customer’s car, so some flexibility seems possible, but nothing is promised: ask the company before booking.
Station delivery

Not published. Their website does not mention delivery at stations or at any place other than their base in Viladamat: confirm with the company.
Customer parking

Not published as a service. A 2022 review on their website says the owners kept the customer’s car while the motorhome was out, but the terms do not mention parking, its price or its conditions: ask the company when you book.
Booking

Send a pre-booking request through the booking engine on their website (no online payment: the page says no payment gateway is active), or book by phone, WhatsApp or email. Once availability is confirmed they ask for your details and a 30% deposit by bank transfer. The rest of the rental and the deposit are paid before the keys are handed over (cash or Visa, or in advance by transfer).
