Autocaravanas Mallorca Travel is a local independent company based in Artà, in the east of Mallorca, that rents three models from its own fleet: the Roller Team Kronos 284 TL (5 places) and Kronos 294 TL (4 places), two compact low-profile motorhomes, and a Nissan Navara 4x4 pick-up camper for up to 3 people. Published rates are per day, from €100 for the motorhomes and €60 for the pick-up camper in low season, with insurance, roadside assistance and unlimited mileage included. The website does not give a company name, the age of the business or the number of vehicles.

Vanyou's advice

Autocaravanas Mallorca Travel is a small local company in Artà (east of Mallorca) that publishes clear daily rates by season, a €900 deposit and fairly detailed conditions, which is not so common. It offers two compact motorhomes and a 4x4 pick-up with a camper cabin (a rugged option for tracks and couples, not a modern van camper). Before booking, confirm the real number of vehicles available for your dates, the VAT on the rates, the exact meaning of its transfer and the €70 delivery supplement, the minimum stay (3 days or 7 in high season), what the insurance covers (the contract only says “according to the law”) and whether you can take the vehicle on a ferry. The photos are taken from the company’s website.

  • Rates are per day and include roadside assistance, comprehensive insurance and unlimited mileage. VAT is not stated (confirm).
  • Minimum stay: 3 days (medium and low season, full bridges and holidays) and 7 days in high season according to their FAQ; the home page says 3 days for everything: confirm.
  • Discount: 5% for long rentals (10 days or more on the home page, more than 10 days on the prices page).
  • The calendar gives no year and its short high-season dates (14–18 April) do not match Easter 2026: ask which dates apply to your trip.

Economic

  • Prices: per day, by season and model (see the rates table). They include roadside assistance, comprehensive insurance and unlimited mileage. VAT is not stated; confirm. The website says it itemises every concept so there are no hidden charges.
  • Discount: 5% on long rentals (10 days or more on the home page, more than 10 days on the prices page): confirm.
  • Deposit to book: about 30% of the total, deducted from the final price. Rest of the rental: at pick-up at the latest.
  • Security deposit: €900, held on a debit or credit card before the rental and returned after the vehicle is checked (up to 30 days if the damage cannot be assessed straight away); damage is deducted from it.
  • Insurance: comprehensive with an excess of €900 according to the home page and the contract; damage above €900 is covered by the insurer unless the renter acted in bad faith. The insurance clause only says the vehicle is “insured according to the law”: confirm what is covered.
  • Cancellation (on the deposit): more than 30 days before, 50% is kept; 30 to 16 days, 80%; less than 16 days, 100%. No-show: 100% of the rental. No refund if you start late or finish early. If they cannot deliver because of force majeure or a breakdown, the deposit is refunded in full.
  • Delivery and collection at any point of the island other than their base: €70 supplement.
  • Pets: €40 extra. Fuel and cleaning: delivered with a full diesel tank; return it full, clean inside and with the toilet and waste tanks emptied, or €120 fixed is deducted from the deposit.
  • Extras: bed linen, kitchenware, table and chairs and the rest of the equipment are said to be included at no extra cost; the website does not list paid extras.

Rental terms

  • Minimum age and licence: 25 years or older (renter and additional driver) and a Spanish B1 licence or equivalent held for 2 years (the website writes B1; in Spain B1 is the quadricycle licence, so they probably mean B: confirm). Not complying can mean losing the deposit.
  • Minimum stay: 3 days in medium and low season (full bridges and holidays) and 7 days in high season according to their FAQ; the home page says 3 days: confirm.
  • Capacity: Kronos 284 TL 5 places, Kronos 294 TL 4 places, Nissan Navara 3 places. Their equipment lists mention a 5th place approved in the 294 and a 4th place in the Navara: confirm before booking for more people. The 294 lists Isofix.
  • Mileage: unlimited.
  • Travel: the contract allows driving only in Spain and the EU countries; the home page says “anywhere in Europe” and mentions discounts on Balearia ferries: confirm which trips are allowed and the rules for taking the vehicle on a ferry. Driving off the road network is forbidden.
  • Pets: allowed with a €40 extra. Smoking and candles are not allowed inside.
  • Cancellation: you lose 50% of the deposit if you cancel more than 30 days before, 80% from 30 to 16 days and 100% with less than 16 days; no-show means 100% of the rental.
  • Breakdowns: tell them as soon as possible; if not notified, the renter may have to pay for the days lost for the next customer.
  • Extensions: not allowed in principle; ask at least 3 days before the end and subject to availability.
  • Liability: the renter pays fines and damage during the rental and civil liability not covered by the policy; additional drivers must be declared and meet the same requirements. Price of an additional driver: not published.

What's included

Kronos models: kitchenware, gas on two propane bottles and a fridge; the photos show a corner kitchen unit with a sink and a fridge with a freezer compartment. Nissan Navara: complete kitchenware, compressor fridge and two butane bottles; the photos show a wooden worktop with a gas hob and sink that is used outdoors from the rear of the cabin. Table and chairs are included in all of them.
Kronos 284 TL (5 places): rear twin beds convertible into a triple bed, a drop-down bed and a convertible lounge, with a slatted bed base; bed linen is mentioned on its page. Kronos 294 TL (4 places): sleeping layout not detailed, also with a slatted bed base. Nissan Navara (3 places): a 180x200 bed, with bed linen and complete kitchenware included according to its page. Bed sizes of the Kronos and the water and gas capacity are not published.
Kronos 284 TL: bathroom with shower. Kronos 294 TL: “full bathroom”. Nissan Navara: toilet and indoor shower according to its page (the photos show a portable cassette-type toilet in a compartment). The size of the water tanks is not published. A water hose is included. They recommend three places to empty grey and black water: the Son Castelló green point in Palma, a service station on the Manacor–Porto Cristo road and a Repsol station in Son Servera.
Kronos models: solar panel, 350 W pure sine wave Dometic inverter, two propane bottles, mains cable and external security locks. Nissan Navara: solar panel, 500 W inverter, control panel, four USB charging ports and two butane bottles. Battery capacity is not published.
Kronos models: 4 m awning, 3-bike Fiamma rack, table, chairs and chocks, external security locks, mains cable and water hose. Nissan Navara: camping table and chairs for outdoors, water hose and 4x4 wheels with reduction gear for tracks. Bike transport is allowed (the FAQ says the motorhomes have a bike rack).
Kronos models (same list on both pages): air conditioning, 21.5-inch LED TV with Wing antenna, DAB radio with Bluetooth and USB and steering-wheel controls, swivelling driver and passenger seats, panoramic OPEN SKY roof, slatted bed base, “Flex space”, insect screen on the door and a 5th seat approved (the 294 TL is sold as 4 places and lists Isofix). Nissan Navara: air conditioning, radio, insect screens and blackout blinds on the windows, Dometic panoramic roof, compressor fridge, four USB chargers and a rear camera with monitor. Smoking and candles are not allowed inside.
Roadside assistance 24 hours a day, 7 days a week across Europe is included in every rate; if the breakdown happens in Mallorca, they say they travel to the place themselves. Fully comprehensive insurance with an excess of €900 is advertised, but the insurance clause of the contract only says the vehicle is insured “according to the law” and that civil liability not covered by the policy is paid by the renter. The blog says a spare wheel is included. The Kronos models list a rear camera with a monitor in the mirror, cruise control, double airbag and external security locks (Fiamma Safe Door).
